Tiny Dancer

This beautiful girl was chosen to be “Clara” in the Nutcracker Ballet this year.  That’s a big deal!  This day was meant to document the hours and hours she has practiced and worked so hard to have the honor of playing that role.  I used to think soccer was all consuming but ballet is ten times more demanding.  Kudos to her momma who is her biggest fan and has been there all along the way.  It was so fun to take them out to such a beautiful location.  Poor girl nearly froze to death but was such a good sport.  Hope you enjoy!

Fall Mini Session

This is a sweet friend of mine and her cute family. I admire her so much for the many qualities she has as a mom that I am lacking. She is one of the most laid back patient people I know (both things I lack considerably). So glad we were able to make this session work. Amongst what will now be known as the “barbed wire” incident, I think we still snagged some beautiful images.

The Pond

This is my sweet kindred and her family or you could say my family too.  I have known her for 30 years and have watched all of her kiddos grow up.  They feel like my nieces and nephews and I love all of them dearly.  We had approximately 20 min to do a family session.  Fastest session ever!  We still got some great shots that hopefully will be so sweet to them in the future because this is the land they will be building their future home on.  Another great trip out there.  Thanks for always having me.

Virginia Farm Life

I told my sweet friend while out in Virginia, that I have never been jealous of anyone else’s situation until I did the photoshoot for this beautiful family.  They live on a huge ranch and he is the ranch manager (I think).  Their kids’ backyard is open fields of gloriousness.  They ride horses, feed baby cows out of bottles, the whole nine yards.  We did these photos in their world and as I watched their kids run free in the fields, I felt a little pang of jealousy.  We live in such a busy crazy life that is surrounded by “things” and those things sometimes make our souls feel squashed.  Even though I know that they do so much hard work, I feel like everyone in their life should have the opportunity to be a ranch hand.  Just sayin’.  That being said, I have waited for about 4 years for this cute family to ask me to do their photos.  I was pretty excited when it worked out this last trip to Virginia.  Their kids are adorable and so much fun!  And those wranglers folks are the real thing.  Right here is a couple of cowgirls and cowboys in the making.  So cute!  Thanks so much for having me.  It was good for my soul:)
