…..these are the dreaded words in our household. I start sweating before I even announce the words. The husband groans and the kids all the sudden turn into little demons and are bound and determined to make my day miserable and the most difficult possible. I have even tried tricking them into thinking we are just going to go have a fun family day dressed in cuter outfits than normal but they are onto me. This year it was chocolate chip cookies that were waiting for them patiently that bought me some extra time with them. All this is coming from the lady who would declare that photographing kids is one of my favorite things to do in life. I am making it my new years resolution to figure out this dilemma. Until then, here are my three darling kids whom I adore even after photo day. You will be able to tell which of my kids is the one that could wear swim suits out in the winter and do just fine. My other two were freezing the minute they stepped out of the car tis’ the lack of photos of them.

This is Lex.  My sis warned me that she is beautiful but I wasn’t expecting to meet someone who is also so beautiful on the inside as well as the outside.  She is so easy to photograph and was so sweet!  I would say, “Let’s do this” and she would say, “Cute”.  I would say “Let’s do that” and she would say, “Cute”.  Your getting the picture.  Everything was followed with “thank you so much”.  She was seriously so nice!  Thanks to Lex and also to her also beautiful mom.  Keep posted……Wedding day pics are shortly following.

These are the sweet little girls of one of my friends.  She is an amazing mother and I sit back and watch in wonder on how she is doing it and doing it so well.  It was my first time photographing twins and I have to say that I loved it even more than doing one.  Guess what happened when one of them started crying….of course my friend needed help holding the other one.  Guess who got to dress one of them while she was dressing the other…..that would be me.  Pretty much I got to hold at least one of them during the whole session.  I was in baby heaven.  I could have spent the entire afternoon with them but had to be off to do a bridal session.  Thanks Cathi for allowing me to spend the morning with you three.  They are beautiful!

It is always a treat to photograph newborns but an extra special treat when they are family.  I get to snuggle them a little bit more than normal and the parents don’t look at me strange if I don’t give them back when they fuss a bit.  She was so super sweet and I am so excited for my cousin and her new journey as a parent.  Her and her hubby are already doing fabulous at it.  Congrats, she is gorgeous!

Yep….call me CRAZY!  This would be the newest addition to our family.  I am not sure quite what happened.  It was Columbus Day, husband was off work, kids were in school and I was looking on KSL Classifieds.  This little guy popped up and was just right around the corner.  I knew the minute I said, “I will just come and take a look at him” it was a done deal.  Talk about surprise when the kids got home.  So the last week has been spent with interupped sleep, running around like a crazy women following his every move so that he doesn’t pee or poop in our house, picking up every little thing that doesn’t want to get chewed up and spending the 20 minutes snuggling him (that is the amount of time he actually chills out to let you snuggle him).  When he does die down he completely dies down and is pretty much OUT!  So basically we have a newborn in our home except he is not wearing a diaper and came to our house already running.  He is seriously the sweetest little guy though and my kids…..just look at the photos….enough said.
